Circle of Life -- Written in the spring of '92 in the rush of bursting green and colors brought forth by the marriage of Earth Mother and Father Sun.

Dyin' For a Metaphor -- This song was born by exposure to and insightful inspiration from the late mythologist Joseph Campbell.

The Roman Road -- Traveling on I-64, between St. Louis, MO and Louisville, KY, I was struck by the effect of complex technological cultures upon primal peoples.  Upon both the Roman and American roads traveled the hooves of transformation for our ancestors.

The Builder -- Dedicated to the visionary souls who nurture ideas, hope and love for future generations.

Bright Path -- In a small cabin in Oklahoma Territory in 1887, a mother gave birth.  Her first sight upon looking out her window was the pathway leading to the cabin illuminated with shimmering sunlight.  A legend had been born and named Wa-tho-huck (Bright Path), know later to the world as Jim Thorpe, "World's Greatest Athlete."

Autumn Symphony -- Fall is a season for reflection, during which we ponder the fullness of the Earth and give thanks for her gifts to her children.

The Owl and the Eagle -- An honor song for endangered species and a prayer that we modern humans rediscover respect within the fabric of creation.

Speak to Me Grandma -- Written on the morning of my Grandmother's funeral in June 1980.  a reminder that stories are passed between the living in never-ending cycles through the oral traditions of our peoples.

The Bear Who Stole The Chinook -- This myth was born in the windy Blackfeet country in the long ago time.

Beneath Another Sky -- This song was inspired by the speech of Heinmot Tooyalakekt -- Thunder Traveling To Loftier Mountain Heights (aka Chief Joseph) in Washington, D.C. in 1879 and other research which I did examining the Nez Perce War of 1877.

Thanks:

Buckskin Poet Society was made possible only by the faith, energy and endurance of the following folks...
Craig Wolf, the analog engineer, who labored tirelessly at Sight & Sound Studios in Columbia Falls;
David Griffith, my multi-instrumental co-producer who reached into his bag of musical miracles to articulate my compositions;
Terry MacDonald, the digital recording engineer, for the numerous Cafe Lattes and precision ears, mind and fingertips at the bridge of the "Digital Starship Studio" MacDonald in Seattle;
Karen MacDonald and Margaret Griffith, for the evenings alone wondering, "What the hell are those guys up to?"; and
Linda Howard, my agent/manager/partner, who has helped guide Hawkstone Productions through the storms and high seas of a young, growing business.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING.
